Resolution
The Russo-Japanese ended with the Japanese winning the war and with The Treaty of Portsmouth. The treaty was signed on September 5, 1905 and gave Japan control of Korea, South Manchuria, and the southern half of Sakhalin Island. It later affected the world by being part of the problem of the revolution of 1905. Japan won mostly all the battles except the Battle of Port Arthur which was determined to be inconclusive. At the end both sides had much responsibility for the cost of the war but only Japan had the right to control south Manchuria, Southern half of Sakhalin Island and Korea.Japan was now to be responsible to protect their new territory. The war was mainly responsible for the revolt in 1905. Japan now had rights to Korea and had a new responsibility to protect its land that it fought a war over.
